Balochistan Assembly elects Matiullah Agha as speaker

Deputy Speaker Matiullah Agha was elected unopposed as the speaker of the Balochistan Assembly on Monday, Express News reported.
Balochistan National Party (Awami) MPA Dr Fouzia Marri, who had administered Agha's oath, was elected unopposed as the deputy speaker.
After the oath, Agha pledged that he will fulfill all his duties with sincerity.
The slot of speaker had fallen vacant on December 26 with the ousting of Aslam Bhootani through a unanimous no-trust resolution.
Reliable sources had earlier told The Express Tribune that Marri is likely to become the deputy speaker.
