The capital police on Friday booked three officials of a local hotel for allegedly keeping a Pakistani origin American in illegal confinement for a month.
According to police, the complaint was registered on the direction of a local court. Mian Zahid Ghani, the American, had filed an application with the Islamabad sessions court against the Secretariat police for not registering a report against the hotel management.
The complainant had earlier approached the police against the three officials for keeping him in illegal confinement in hotel room No 124 from October 10 to November 10 this year.
The police said that the hotel management had earlier filed a report in November against the complainant for not paying the hotel dues. Ghani, however, maintained that he had stayed in the hotel as a guest of the ministry of information and broadcasting.
