Did you know?: Winslet, Rocknroll tie the knot

Oscar-winning actor Kate Winslet exchanged vows with long-time partner Ned Rocknroll in a hush-hush ceremony; the event was so discreet that even the bride and groom’s parents’ didn’t know about it.

“I can confirm that Kate Winslet married Ned Rock’nRoll in New York in a private ceremony attended by her two children and a very few friends and family,” her rep told People magazine. “The couple had been engaged since this summer.”

Kate has been married twice before, while this will be Ned’s second time down the aisle, reports dailymail.co.uk. The 37-year-old actor was given away by her Titanic co-star Leonardo DiCaprio at this intimate service.

The parents of both, on the other hand, remained in the dark as far as the news was concerned. “What are you going on about?,” said Winslet’s father when he was questioned about the ceremony. “It’s not something I know of, but nothing would surprise me with those two,” said Rocknroll’s father, who was rather uninformed as well.
