AHMEDABAD: Pakistan lost by 11 runs against India in the second Twenty20 match in Ahmedabad on Friday. The two match series was drawn 1-1.

India had set a target of 193 runs for Pakistan to win the match.

Pakistan got off to a good start and was in a commanding position but a spell where they lost four quick wickets bogged them down. Requiring 20 runs of the final over though proved to be too steep a task and the green shirts fell well short.

Pakistan’s Mohammad Hafeez scored the highest with 55 runs off 26 balls, followed by Nasir Jamshed who scored 41 runs off 32 balls. Hafeez managed to hit three sixes and six fours in the match.

Pakistan lost seven wickets, with three of them taken by India’s Dinda and one each taken by Kumar, Sharma, Ashwin and Yuvraj.

In the first innings, India's Yuvraj Singh scored the highest with 72 runs off 36 balls. He also managed to hit seven sixes of the match with three sixes on three consecutive balls.

Pakistan's Umar Gul took four wickets and Saeed Ajmal took one.

Yuvraj Singh was adjudged to be the man of the match, while Pakistan team captain Mohammad Hafeez was given the man of the series.

Pakistan had earlier won the toss and elected to field against India.

The first Twenty20 match between the two teams was won by Pakistan by five wickets on Tuesday in Bangalore.

This is the first tour by Pakistan to India since 2007.

The match will be followed by three one-day matches during the short series, which is the first since the 2008 Mumbai attacks.

Shahid Butt | 11 years ago | Reply Why did Hafeez decide to give India a bat after winning the toss on a batsmen's paradise. Surely the plan should have been to bat first and set India a tough 180 plus target to save the series. Instead he gave India the advantage to make use of a brillant batting pitch. I also don't get why the inform Shoiab Malik did not come in to bat in place of the un discipline Umar Akmal, Shoiab Malik is the only match finisher that Pakistan have in this current T20 team. And where is Abdul Raddak, why is he not in the team instead of the useless Sohial Tanvir. Mr Tanvir is not a effective bowler at all, and is nothing special with the bat either, is he replacing one of the best clean hitters in the game [Abdul Raddak] because his fielding and throwing from the boundary! Disgrace.

I was shocked to hear Hafeez opted to field after winning the toss on a concrete batting wicket. Surely being 1-0 up, he should have batted first on a batsmen paradise and set India the tough task of chasing 180 plus to save the series. I also don't see the point why the inform Shoiab Malik came so lower down the order, he should have come in place of the talented but un disciplined Umar Akmal, Malik is the only game finisher Pakistan have in this current T20 side. And where is Abdul Raddak? Surely he is much better than Sohial Tanvir, who can't bowl, bat and is a total waste of space!
