Cricket star Babar Azam has donated a game-worn shirt to the Usman Khawaja Foundation, marking another show of goodwill between Pakistani and Australian cricketers.
The shirt will be auctioned, with proceeds going to support the foundation’s work with youth from refugee, immigrant, Indigenous, and low-income backgrounds.
Babar presented the jersey to Usman Khawaja during a recent meetup in Brisbane, where he is currently training with his team.
This gesture follows another recent donation by Azam, who contributed his bat to an Australian cricket exhibition showcasing memorabilia from prominent players.
Usman Khawaja, an Australian batter of Pakistani descent, founded the Usman Khawaja Foundation to provide cricket and educational opportunities to youth from underprivileged communities. As he prepares for Australia’s five-match test series against India, Khawaja continues his mission to foster diversity and opportunity in sport.
Meanwhile, Babar, fresh off a productive return to international cricket, is expected to open for Pakistan in their upcoming three-match T20I series against Australia.
