Petition dismissed: ‘Utility plots in G-13 not to be converted’

No alteration to the master plan of Islamabad could be allowed, says Justice Jillani.

ISLAMABAD:
The Supreme Court on Thursday dismissed a plea moved by the Federal Government Housing Foundation for setting aside a decision of the Lahore High Court over the conversion of utility plots in Sector G-13. A two-member bench upheld the decision of the LHC Rawalpindi Bench against carving about 150 plots out of land allocated for the construction of schools and playgrounds. Justice Jillani observed that no alteration to the master plan of Islamabad could be allowed.
