Bomb was planted along the main gate of a house in Sro Banda area.
HANGU:
A high-intensity bomb planted near the boundary wall of a house in Sro Banda area of Hangu’s Thal tehsil was defused by the bomb disposal squad on Thursday.
Asadullah, the in-charge of the squad said the bomb weighed around 13 kg and was planted along the wall adjacent to the main gate of the house. He said the bomb was spotted by bystanders, who then informed the police. The house was vacated and the bomb successfully defused, he added.
The owner of the house, Mudassir Shah, maintains he does not have enmity with anyone in the area and has no clue as to who would want to target him. However, locals claim he has been in contact with a militant group and suggest that members of a rival militant group might have targeted him.
