Holiday: Over 26,500 head to zoo on Christmas
Shafaqat Ali says wildlife guides were deployed at various points to provide people information about Zoo animals.

Over 26,500 people visited the Lahore Zoo on Christmas (Tuesday) bringing it a revenue of over Rs0.337 million. Lahore Zoo director Shafqat Ali said Indian tigers, African lions and monkeys were the main attractions. He said an ambulance with paramedical staff was stationed at the zoo.
He said leaflets and stickers providing information on the history of the Lahore Zoo were distributed amongst visitors. He said people were also shown some films. Shafaqat Ali said wildlife guides were deployed at various points to provide people information about Zoo animals. He added that canteen contractors had been warned to ensure that food was hygienic.
