Temporary conversions to be scrapped

LAHORE:
The Lahore Development Authority has decided not to allow temporary or annual commercialisation of properties on the 48 roads where it allows permanent commercialisation, said a press release.

The owners or occupants of properties on these roads can get them permanently converted to a commercial property, but from December 31, can no longer get them converted temporarily. Notices to this effect have been served at the relevant properties.

The LDA will not allow temporary commercialisation on roads other than the 48 (mentioned below) after December 2013. All sorts of commercial activity would be banned on those roads.

The 48 roads where permanent commercialisation is allowed are:

2 Main Boulevard, Allama Iqbal Town (Bhekewal Mor to Scheme Mor)
