Tennis: Ivanovic eyes Hopman Cup win
Ivanovic will link up with Djokovic again for the $1million event and hopes to go all the way this time.
Ana Ivanovic has set her sights on breaking back into the world’s top 10 next year and aims to start by winning the Hopman Cup that begins on Saturday, according to The Age.
The former world number one teamed up with Novak Djokovic to reach the final of the mixed-teams event two years ago, but the pair had to forfeit after Ivanovic suffered a stomach strain.
Ivanovic will link up with world number one Djokovic again for the $1million event and hopes to go all the way this time. “We were so close and it was a big disappointment the way it ended last time,” said Ivanovic. “I felt so bad, and for Novak too, so I really hope this year we can put it together and go all the way. I definitely want to get back to top 10 and hopefully this would be the perfect start.”
