The PIA MD said the two weekly flights would be operated on the Quetta-Kandahar route.

QUETTA:
The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) on Tuesday commenced its first flight on the Quetta-Kandahar route carrying 198 passengers aboard.

PIA Managing Director (MD) Captain (retd) Muhammad Junaid and Afghan Consul General based at Quetta Ghulam Muhammad Bahadar attended the ceremony at the Quetta Airport.

The PIA MD said the two weekly flights would be operated on the Quetta-Kandahar route. “Initiation of flights between Quetta and Kandahar was the longstanding demand of the traders on both sides of the border,” he said. Junaind added that PIA was planning to introduce more routes including Chicago and Barcelona.
