KARACHI:

The Athletics Federation of Pakistan (AFP) and the Pakistan Boxing Federation (PBF) have refused to recognise any records made at the 32nd National Games taking place in Lahore as the event was deemed illegal by them.

Army, Navy and PAF had already boycotted the event with the view that the organisers were not eligible to hold their seats in light of the National Sports Policy. Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) and the Punjab government decided not to support the Punjab Olympic Association (PbOA) for the games as both its president and secretary had already held offices for two four-year tenures.

“We don’t accept this event as the National Games and the AFP would not entertain any records set in it,” AFP President Akram Sahi told The Express Tribune who explained that the court’s order is being violated clearly.
