Defeat can inspire Pacquiao: Lewis
Many have said that it was time Pacquiao handed in his gloves after losing to Juan Manuel Marquez a fortnight ago.
Lennox Lewis has advised Manny Pacquiao not to give up on his career as he believes the eight-weight world champion can make a comeback from his recent defeat, according to ESPN.
Many have said that it was time Pacquiao handed in his gloves after losing to Juan Manuel Marquez a fortnight ago. But former heavyweight world champion Lewis believes Pacquiao can be inspired from this loss in order to regain his world title.
“It depends on how Pacquiao reacts to the loss,” said Lewis. “Is he a broken man or can he admit he made a mistake in the ring and build on that? A loss can make you look at yourself in a way that victory cannot. It gives you a feeling that inspires you to be better. Gladiators need to experience setbacks because if you can come back from them it shows just how great you are.”
