The showdown features six of the top-ten players in the world, including world number one Novak Djokovic.
World number nine Janko Tipsarevic will star on the opening night of the Mubadala World Tennis Championship on Thursday when he debuts against reigning US Open and Olympic champion Andy Murray at Zayed Sports City, Abu Dhabi, according to Gulf News.
The showdown features six of the top-ten players in the world, including world number one Novak Djokovic and 11-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal.
“I’m sure Andy will have a big following in Abu Dhabi, but I’m looking forward to the challenge and I’ve a good record against him,” said Tipsarevic, ahead of his Abu Dhabi debut.
“Novak won the Mubadala World Tennis Championship last year and told me it was a really good way to prepare for the Australian Open in January, so I was delighted to be invited to play this year.”
