Cricket: Starc puts Ashes before IPL riches
Cricket Australia has not included the young fast-bowler in discussions about resting him from the Boxing Day Test.
Mitchell Starc will be rejecting offers worth up to $500,000 in order to play in next year’s Indian Premier League as he wants to be in peak form for the Ashes. However, Cricket Australia (CA) has not included the young fast-bowler in discussions about resting him from the Boxing Day Test, according to The Sydney Morning Herald. Due to the plague of injuries to fast-bowlers, the CA has adopted a safety-first approach with the pacemen who are still standing and Starc is in on the list to be rotated out of the attack for one of the remaining two Tests against Sri Lanka.
