LPG price goes up by Rs10 per kg

Prices range between Rs155-225 per kg across the country.

ISLAMABAD:
The marketing companies on Thursday increased the price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) by Rs10 per kilogramme (kg).

LPG Distributors Association Chairman Muhammad Irfan Khokhar said the price of a domestic cylinder had been raised by Rs100 and a commercial cylinder by Rs400. Resultantly, LPG price was raised in Gilgit-Baltistan to Rs225 per kg while the domestic cylinder will be available at Rs2,650, whereas in Naran, Kaghan the commodity will be sold at Rs210 per kg with a domestic cylinder costing Rs2,470, he added.

Likewise domestic cylinder will cost Rs2,230 at Rs190 per kg in Balakot, Natiagali, while in Attock, Islamabad, Murree, DG Khan, DI Khan and Kashmore, the price of LPG will now be Rs180 per kg and domestic cylinder at Rs2,110.

In Bahawalpur, Sargodha, Hyderabad, Mansehra, Swat, Peshawar, Haripur, Gujrat and Jhelum, the price has been raised to Rs175 per kg while domestic cylinder will be available at Rs2,050.


LPG will be available at Rs165 per kg with domestic cylinder costing Rs1,930 in Sialkot, Deska, Faisalabad, Sahiwal, Okara and Qasoor while in Lahore and Gujranwala the same will sold at Rs160 per kg with domestic cylinder at Rs1,870.

In Karachi, LPG will cost Rs155 per kg, whereas domestic cylinder will cost Rs1,810.

Khokhar said the distributors will go on strike if the marketing companies do not reduce prices.
