Woman ‘poisons husband’s food’
Nawaz had threatened her with dire consequences if she “did not mend her ways”.

A man was poisoned on Wednesday, allegedly by his wife and the man she was allegedly having an affair with, police said. The man was found dead at his home by his brother, Muhammad Nazir, who then informed the police. A case has been registered against the woman and the man. No one has been arrested so far.
Nazeer, a resident of Chak 401-JB, told Chitiana police that his brother, Muhammad Nawaz, had suspected his wife was having an affair. He said they had quarrelled over the issue several times. He said several neighbours had also mentioned seeing her with a man. He said Nawaz had threatened her with dire consequences if she “did not mend her ways”.
On Wednesday, he said, his wife and the man she was having an affair with poisoned his brother’s food. He said his brother sensed he had been poisoned and called him. When he reached home, he said, his brother was vomiting blood.
He said his sister-in-law told him to get the doctor. When he went away, she and her alleged lover, who she had said was a guest, fled. He said he found his brother dead when he returned.
The couple had five children.
