Football: PAF return to winning ways

PMC Athletico stunned NBP 1-0 to win their fourth match of the season.

KARACHI:
PAF defeated PIA 2-0 to displace Army off second place in the Pakistan Premier Football League.

The Peshawar-based club, who had lost their previous two matches, scored their first goal through the 16-year-old Mansoor Khan while Muhammad Zeeshan sealed the victory for the team in the 84th minute. PAF now have 53 points after 27 matches, while PIA stayed in 11th with 21 points.


Meanwhile, PMC Athletico stunned NBP 1-0 to win their fourth match of the season. After playing a goalless first half, Muhammad Usman scored the winner in the 57th minute to give his side their first away win of the season.

Despite the defeat, NBP remained sixth while PMC Athletico climbed up two places to 13th position. In the third match of the day, Navy outclassed Wohaib FC 4-0 with goals from Bilal Junior, Mohsin Ali, Mohammad Adnan and Mohammad Ramzan.
