Reko Diq mining endeavour: Balochistan CM to inaugurate project
The formation of the Dalbandin Mining Institute was also agreed upon.

Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Aslam Raisani is to inaugurate the Balochistan Copper and Gold Project in Reko Diq, on January 7, 2013. This was decided in a meeting chaired by Raisani in Islamabad on Monday. The formation of the Dalbandin Mining Institute was also agreed upon in the meeting in which local youth will be provided training in the mining sector and provided employment through the project. A technical team under the leadership of Dr Samar Mubarakmand is to initiate the gold and copper project. The provincial government has allocated Rs8 billion for the project in the ongoing fiscal year. The meeting appreciated and paid tribute to the team of legal experts for the recent judgment by an international tribunal in favour of Balochistan concerning the Reko Diq project.
