An additional district and sessions judge on Monday granted pre-arrest bail to actress Khushbakht alias Sofia Mirza who is accused of fraud in the sale of her car.
The judge granted her bail against Rs50,000. He summoned the complainant and the police record with directions to Mirza to join the investigation and appear before the court at each hearing.
Complainant Sheikh Nasir had filed a complaint with the Samanabad police against Sofia Mirza and her brother Khurram Shehzad under Sections 468/471, 419 and 420 (fraud and misleading) of the Pakistan Penal Code. He said Mirza, in connivance with her brother, had sold him a Corolla car. He said he sold the car to another man upon which she filed a car theft case against him.
