Refuting allegations: ‘People in remote areas of FATA not being neglected’

Afridi dispelled the rumours that the group has been allocating fewer funds to the remote areas than needed.



Intellectual Property Rights (IPO) Pakistan Chairman Hameedullah Jan Afridi said on Monday that the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) Joint Parliamentarians Group has spent millions of rupees on development projects to provide basic necessities of life to those living in remote areas of the tribal belt.



He stated this while talking to a delegation of Khyber Agency elders who called on him on Tuesday. He dispelled the rumours that the group has been allocating fewer funds to the remote areas than needed.

Afridi, who heads the Fata Joint Parliamentarians Group clarified that the group has “tried its utmost” to address the demands of the people living in the neglected remote areas of Fata.

The group is constituted by senators and national assembly members.
