Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan receives award for his contribution to the Hindi film industry.
Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan has received the Brand Laureate Legendary Award for his contribution to the Hindi film industry and for being India’s leading brand ambassador in Malaysia.
The Brand Laureate Legendary Award has been earlier given to the likes of former South African president Nelson Mandela, Nobel Laureate Mohammad Yunus, Indian businessman Ratan Tata, late Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Formula one (F1) ace Michael Schumacher.
The 47-year-old was in Malaysia to attend the birthday party of Prime Minister Mahathir bin Muhammad Thursday evening.
“It is an honour to be given the Brand Laureate Legendary Award. It is always a pleasure to be amongst friends and to be given so much love and motivation to do better,” Shahrukh said.
The actor was honoured by the Asia Pacific Brands Foundation and received the award from the founder of Lord’s Tailor and an old friend Robert Loh, the Brand Laureate President KK Johan and Prime Minister Mahathir bin Mohammad.
