Football: Walcott heading for Arsenal exit
Walcott’s current deal expires at the end of the season.
Theo Walcott has moved a step closer to the exit door at Arsenal after missing the deadline set by manager Arsene Wenger, who has been urging Walcott to sign a new contract, according to Metro. Walcott’s current deal expires at the end of the season, and originally he was handed a deadline of Christmas to agree to an extension, but talks have repeatedly broken down. At the moment, there will be no talks of an extension until at least mid-January, which means Walcott will have moved past the deadline set and could possibly be sold in the new year.
