Atc hearing: Witnesses unable to identify accused

One of the witnesses said that he was unable to identify Baloch while the other officer said he was not at the site.

KARACHI:
Two police officers refused to identify Shahjahan Baloch, accused in an attack on police officers in Lyari, at his trial at the Anti-Terrorism Court III on Friday.

One of the witnesses said that he was unable to identify Baloch while the other officer told the court that he was not at the site when the attack took place.

Baloch was named in the FIR registered at the Kalakot police station under sections of the Pakistan Penal Code that include offences for murder, attempted murder, common intent, as well as under sections 3 and 4 of the Explosives Act.


The other men accused in the case include the banned Peoples Amn Committee leaders Zafar Baloch, Habib Jan Baloch and Taj ‘Taju’ Mohammad.

The case will now be heard on December 22.
