Line of control: Power disruption halts trade
Indian authorities returned 80 bags of herbs on the plea that the wrapper of bags did not match with the herbs.
MIRPUR:
Technical fault in a power line and disruption to electricity supply at the Immigration Centre in Poonch halted trade between Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Indian-held Kashmir on Thursday, sources say.
As a result, the crossing point on the historic Rawalkot-Poonch route along the Line of Control (LoC) was opened for only small periods. Later, technicians repaired the fault and trucks started moving towards AJK.
In another incident, Indian authorities at Chakkan-Da-Bagh-Taitrinote crossing in Poonch returned 80 bags of herbs sent from AJK on the plea that the wrapper of bags did not match with the herbs.
The name of the herbs was not on the wrapper, they said.
