Attempted Murder: 2 sentenced to 51 years each

Convicts are also fined Rs628,387 each.

MULTAN:
An anti-terrorism court on Wednesday sentenced each of the two men who had opened fire in district courts, seriously injuring two people, to 51 years of rigorous punishment. They were also fined Rs628,387 each. According to the prosecution, on October 21, 2010, Mohammad Ahmad and Mehmood Ahmad were among the five people who had opened fire on their old rivals – Asif Javed, Abdus Sattar and Abdul Ghaffar – in the district courts. Javed and Sattar were seriously injured as a result. Mohammad and Mehmood were arrested along with Maqsood Ahmad, Qasim Ali and Mohammad Ramzan. The court released Maqsood, Ali and Ramzan after giving them the benefit of doubt.
