Shahrukh feels blessed with love from Morocco

NEW DELHI:
Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan says he feels blessed with the love he received from thousands of his fans during the recently concluded 12th Marrakech International Film Festival in Morocco.
“I went to the Marrakech film festival because of the people there and their constant love I have received in all these years. I went there to tell them that I love them too and I am blessed to receive their love,” Shahrukh said in a statement.
He was even conferred Morocco’s prestigious Medal of Honour at the extravaganza, which paid a tribute to Indian cinema’s 100 years.
When Shahrukh went to the Jemaa el-Fna Square in Marrakech, an unprecedented crowd is said to have gathered there.
“The sight of that crowd at Jemaa el-Fna was very overwhelming. They waited to cheer me on so how could I not spend a little time with them. That’s the least I could have done,” added King Khan, who even did a little jig for his fans.
He was so overwhelmed by the sight that he left his security at the red carpet just to jump up on the podium and wave at all the people present there.
“The security guys just didn’t realise when he left them and stood on the podium to send flying kisses to all of them. Shahrukh gets humbled by the love people shower him with,” said a source close to the actor.
While the crowd sang Chammak Challo, Shahrukh didn’t mind performing a step or two from the hit number — a moment perhaps his fans will remember for years to come.
