Karachi Metropolitan Corporation Administrator Muhammad Hussain Syed has reportedly suspended Ehtishamuddin Siddiqui chief fire officer (CFO) of the city government. According to sources, Siddiqui was suspended over the deadly factory blaze in Baldia neighbourhood. The source added that Syed has brought in former CFO Kazim Raza to replace Siddiqui. Raza is likely to assume charge today (Wednesday), the source added. Meanwhile, Siddiqui denied the news about his suspension when contacted, saying he was not aware about any such development.
