Riaz’s criticism of MBS incomprehensible: Malik
Says contrary to Riaz’s estimate, the project would be completed at a cost of Rs30 billion.
LAHORE:
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz MNA Pervaiz Malik, in a statement issued after Riaz and Basra’s press conference, said that their criticism of the Metro Bus Project was incomprehensible.
Malik said that contrary to Riaz’s estimate, the project would be completed at a cost of Rs30 billion. A similar project suggested by Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi would have cost Rs 230 billion, he said.
Malik dismissed the allegations of corruption as “criticism by looters who have been rejected by the public in the by-elections.”
The PML-N leader said the project would be “the most splendid [transport] project of the country”.
“The glorious victory of PML-N in the by-elections has [proven] that people are satisfied with the... Punjab government and have complete confidence in [the PML-N,” Malik said. He advised Riaz to stop levelling baseless allegations against the Punjab government and instead stop his leaders from looting the people.
