Sunday bazaars: Stall-holders fined
License of four stalls have been cancelled for selling substandard vegetables and fruits.

District Officer (Monitoring) Amin Akbar Chopra visited Johar Town, Model Town, Gulshan-i-Ravi, Wahdat Road and Shadman Sunday bazaars and imposed a Rs 13,500 fine on stall-holders for overcharging. He also cancelled the licences of four stalls for selling substandard vegetables and fruits. According to a statement on Sunday, Chopra visited the bazaars on the directions of District Coordination Officer Noorul Amin Mengal. Mengal said that city district government teams were working to facilitate the citizens. He said that Sunday bazaars were serving the citizens and the CDGL was trying to ensure the provision of basic commodities to people at controlled rates.
