Local government: ‘Public not given chance to discuss bill’
Seminar was organised by the Citizens Rights and Sustainable Development.

Civil society organisations expressed their reservations about the Local Government Bill 2012 in a seminar on Friday, saying that the public was not given a chance to debate the bill.
The ‘Local Government and Elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’ seminar organised by the Citizens Rights and Sustainable Development NGO said that the provincial assembly approved the Local Government Act in July this year, but had not yet conducted local body elections, revealing their inability to implement the assembly’s decision.
