Punjab University (PU) finished second with six gold, four silver and many bronze medals, while Government College University Lahore (GCUL) got two gold, one silver and one bronze medal.
On the final day, UCP’s Faisal won gold in the high jump while Muhammad Qasim won the pole vault event. The team grabbed gold in the 4x400m relay as well with Shah Behran, M Anees, Fakhar Zaman and Gohar Shahbaz taking the team home. Meanwhile, PU reduced the gap with gold medals by Ali Raza (steeple chase), Zahid Ali (hammer throw) and their win in the 4x100m relay race.
The GCUL’s Altaf Hussain won the javelin throw and Mohsin Naveed grabbed gold in the 110m hurdles, while Superior University’s Asif (5,000m) and Rehman (discus throw) took home a gold each as well.
