A robbery suspect died in police custody on Friday due toalleged torture. District police officer has ordered the police to register a case against the station house officer concerned. Phoolnagar police arrested three robbery suspects Muhammad Asif, Muhammad Mumtaz and Muhammad Ashfaq on Thursday. On Friday, when Asif’s family went to meet him in the lockup, they were told that he had died. They accused SHO Ata Mustafa of torture and demanded that he be arrested.
