The International Civil Aviation Day will be observed on December 7 to raise awareness of the importance of international civil aviation and the role that the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) plays in international air transport.
The organisation is a United Nations (UN) body responsible for developing international standards for aviation safety. The council of ICAO has approved “Aviation: Your Reliable Connection to the World” as the theme for this year worldwide.
The ICAO, with support from governments, organisations, businesses and individuals, actively promotes the International Civil Aviation Day through various activities and events.
