Load shedding: Protesters block Indus Highway
Malik says that power was off for 18 hours every day, disrupting businesses and schools.

Prolonged power outages forced scores of people, including government employees and businessmen to take to the streets in Terri area. The protesters led by Malik Awail Badshah, an elder, blocked the traffic on Indus Highway for more than an hour on Wednesday. Malik said that power was off for 18 hours every day, disrupting businesses and schools. Several commuters stuck in traffic appealed to the protesters to let them through, after which the road was cleared. They warned the Peshawar Electric Supply Company officials that they will continue to block the streets if the problem persists.
