Tennis: Berdych targets glory in Abu Dhabi
The Czech led his side to their first win in the Davis Cup beating favourites Spain last month.
Tomas Berdych is hoping to end his best season on tour with victory at the Mubadala World Tennis Championship in Abu Dhabi that starts on December 27, according to Sport360.
The Czech led his side to their first win in the Davis Cup beating favourites Spain last month. The world number six is set to resume his rivalry with Spain’s David Ferrer at the even and is already looking forward to it.
“I’m at six in the world and he’s (Ferrer) at five,” said Berdych. “We’ve played nine times now and I’ve won three. It’s always close and the crowd in Abu Dhabi will be in for a great game.”
