Accommodation: Govt employees to have their own colony in Swat

The K-P government has planned construction of a residential colony for the government employees in Swat District, sources in Civil Secretariat told APP on Wednesday.



The project will be implemented under the District Development Programme at an estimated cost of Rs101.788 million. The project has been included in the Annual Development Programme (ADP) of the current fiscal year, said the source, adding Rs15 million were earmarked for the mega project in ADP 2012-13.

This would help address accommodation problems of the government employees of different nation-building departments and will have positive impact on the overall performance of the employees.

In addition to construction of buildings for three district accounts’ offices costing Rs108 million, the official said additional works in Directorate of Treasury and District Accounts Office at Peshawar would also be commenced in current fiscal year with allocation of Rs6.813 million.
