Robbery attempt: Bandit, passer-by injured in firing
City Police says three men on motorcycle were trying to loot a petrol station at gunpoint when a guard fired at them.

A suspected bandit and a passerby were injured on Tuesday night in crossfire between the group of bandits and a guard.
City Police said that three men on motorcycle were trying to loot a petrol station at gunpoint when a guard fired at them. The suspects returned fire. In the crossfire, a suspect – identified as Mohammad Saleem – was injured. One of the passers-by was also injured who was taken to a hospital. Saleem was overpowered and handed over to the police while his accomplices escaped. Police said Saleem had told them the names and addresses of his accomplices, adding that they would be arrested soon.
