Doctors Convention: PMA threatens countrywide strike (National – brief)

PMA Balochistan chapter warns doctors will go on country-wide strike if their demands are not met.

QUETTA:
Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) Balochistan chapter warned that the doctors would go on a country-wide strike if their demands are not met. Addressing the Doctors’ Convention at Quetta Press Club on Tuesday, PMA President Dr Sultan Tareen and others said that doctors would call for a countrywide strike if their demands were not accepted by Dec 7.  Tareen called on the authorities to restore suspended doctors and withdraw all cases registered against them. Meanwhile, despite Dr Saeed Khan’s release the doctors reiterated that they would continue their strike throughout the province, including Quetta.
