On the hunt: FIR registered over seminary teacher’s murder

The police have registered a case on Tuesday against two unidentified men for killing a seminary teacher.
Maulana Mohammad Ismail, a teacher at Jamia Arabia Ahsanul Uloom, was gunned down on Monday by armed men on Abul Hasan Isphahani Road, within the jurisdiction of the Sachal police station.
His relative, Abdul Bari, had FIR No. 735/12 registered under Section 302/34 of the Pakistan Penal Code. DSP Qamar Ahmed told The Express Tribune that the police suspected that the incident was part of the ongoing sectarian violence but law enforcers would not confirm this.
The officer said the police do not have any clues as yet, adding that several people - including shopkeepers near the scene of the crime - have been questioned.
DSP Ahmed said the police would make sketches of the culprits with the help of witnesses’ accounts.
