Raid gone bad: 3 police officials, one suspect killed in shootout

Three policemen and one suspect were shot dead during a shootout on Sunday night.
Mochiwala SHO Rao Jamshed Ahmed said a police team raided a house in Bahadraywala village to arrest a proclaimed offender named Ramzan late on Sunday night. He said police encircled the house but the suspect and others began shooting at police, who returned fire. Head Constable Abdur Razzaq died from bullet injuries at the scene, Elite Force Constable Khuda Bux died on the way to hospital, while Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) Liaqat Naul died in hospital. The SHO said Ilyas, one of the suspected gang members, also died while his accomplices managed to escape. He said a passerby, Rani Bibi, was also hit by a bullet and taken to hospital for treatment.
