‘Restoring normaly’: Tribesmen act against encroachers
The tribesmen has given a 15 day deadline to encroachers and people involved in illegal business that ended.
MIRANSHAH:
The Utmanzai Wazir and Dawar tribesmen, in a crackdown operation, removed illegal encroachments on Sunday in the main town of Miranshah Bazaar of North Waziritan Agency. The tribesmen had jointly formed a committee who was given the duty. They had given a 15 day deadline to encroachers and people involved in illegal business that ended. Following the deadline which ended on Sunday, the bazaars were cleared of the land mafias. The political agent, Siraj Ahmad Khan lauded the move and announced various uplift projects to restore normalcy in the agency. He said that with the supports of tribal elders they will quell militancy at any cost. He said that Rs5.8 million for Miranshah and Rs26.4 million for Datta Khel have been allocated to secure the areas from flood water while Rs26.7 million have approved for tube wells. Likewise, Rs2.2 million has been set aside for medicine for the Miranshah headquarters hospital.
