Football: Pakistan U23 off to Sri Lanka

Pakistan will be up against the hosts as well as Maldives and Bangladesh in a league format starting from December 3.

KARACHI: The Pakistan under-23 team will leave today for the HE Mahinda Rajapaksa International Football Tournament that takes place in Sri Lanka. Pakistan will be up against the hosts as well as Maldives and Bangladesh in a league format starting from December 3. Pakistan will open their campaign against Bangladesh, while Sri Lanka will play Maldives. Striker Kaleemullah will lead the squad with Faisal Iqbal as his deputy. The squad prepared with Serbian coach Zavisa Milosavjevic for two weeks in Lahore before departing for the tournament.
