Review of Balochistan's PSDP is unconstitutional: Raisani
Balochistan Chief Minister Aslam Raisani declares the Senate's review of PSDP an intervention in provinical affairs.

Balochistan Chief MinisterAslam Raisani lashed out at the Senate's review of Balochistan’s Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) terming it a contradiction of the Constitution and an open violation of provincial autonomy guaranteed under the 18th amendment.
Raisani declared the review of the PSDP of Balochistan from 2002 to 2012-13 by the Senate’s Standing Committee for Finance as an intervention in provincial affairs. He further said that the review was not tolerable at any cost and no officer would attend the convention without his permission.
The chief minister said that the PSDP aims to provide welfare and development for the masses, adding that the approval of PSDP was given by an elected assembly which was in its legal and constitutional right. “Who has given the right to Senate’s Standing Committee to review the PSDP of Balochistan,” before asking if the PSDP of any other province has been reviewed by the Senate body?
The government of Balochistan has taken notice of this unconstitutional move and would protest it strongly, Raisani stated.
He also added that an increase in the provincial budget had been made possible by the current government’s efforts through the National Finance Commission and he ensured that all these funds were being utilised for the welfare of the masses in Balochistan.
Balochistan projects priority for government: PM
Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf told a visiting delegation from Balochistan that the federal government has prioritised ongoing development projects in Balochistan to speed up the pace of socio-economic development in the province, RadioPakistan reported.
Ashraf told Jam Muhammad Yousuf that the finance ministry has been specially directed to facilitate releases of all necessary funds in this regard.
