Classes to begin at Malala school in December

Contruction of Malala Yousafzai Danish School Jand nears completion.

ATTOCK:
The construction of Malala Yousafzai Danish School (MYDS) in Jand is nearing completion and it is hoped that classes can commence as soon as next week.

According to sources, the school, which is being built on a plot of 200 acres, would have two different campuses for girls and boys where initially 220 students would be admitted to sixth grade.

Underprivileged students will be given preference for admission. These students will be provided all facilities free of cost, including tuition, boarding, books and uniforms.

A ten percent quota for admission has been reserved for students aiming to cover the tuition fees themselves.

The MYDS project was launched by Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif amongst many reservations about its future from the locals, who demanded that government schools should also be fully facilitated.
