One dead as Karachi State Life building catches fire
Man jumps out of the building to save himself from fire, dies of severe injuries.
KARACHI:
A fire broke out in the State Life building located in Saddar area, Karachi, Express News reported on Wednesday. A man, in an attempt to save his life, jumped out of the building and severely injured himself. He later succumbed to his injuries in a hospital.
Fire brigade officials reached the place soon after the incident and started the rescue work. Chief Minister Sindh Qaim Ali Shah also visited the area to inquire about the situation.
The fire was extinguished in few hours and people trapped inside the building were safely evacuated.
