Internal dispute: PML-N’s Shazia Aurangzeb resigns

PESHAWAR: The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) women’s wing provincial general secretary, Shazia Aurangzeb, resigned from the membership of the party. Addressing a press conference at the Peshawar Press Club, she said she was issued a show-cause notice by Provincial President Pir Sabir Shah which was in violation to the party’s constitution. She said the party was also ignoring its workers who have rendered ‘countless sacrifices’ for the PML-N. She added that she would join the party which gives preference to its workers. Shazia added that PML-N would see more resignations in the coming days unless they solve disputes among themselves. Shazia was earlier accused of openly discussing the internal rifts in the party.
