Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Aslam Raisani asked the doctors who were on strike, to resume their duties or else they would be dealt harshly.
Talking to media during his visit to the Civil Hospital and Combined Military Hospital (CMH), he welcomed the doctors who had agreed to resume their duties. Those who returned to their duties in hospitals are welcome, he said while urging others to call off strike unconditionally.
"All-out efforts are being made to ensure the safe and early recovery of the missing doctor," Raisani reiterated.
The Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) Balochistan chapter had called for a strike following the kidnapping of their colleague Dr Saeed on October 16.
The health department had suspended about 80 doctors who had decided to go on strike, in stark violation of rules.
Earlier, the chief minister met with patients and inquired after their health. He thanked the CMH administration for providing medical facilities to the patients hailing from remote parts of the province.

People of Pakistan lose their trust in democracy when such people sit in the coveted offices of the chief executive of the province. Further analysis will show that there is a nexus between these high public offices and crimes. The decry of the doctors is due to pointers which all goes to the same man from whom they would seek protection. Hopefully the doctor will be released because the pressure is becoming unbearable for the corrupt government.
The demand for these Doctors seems quite justified unlike so called YDA of Punjab, where the charter of demands got increasing. I wonder where are Chaudhry Pervez Illahi and Imran Khan who were covertly supporting YDA of Punjab in every strike but completely missing from Balochistan!
How is this incompetent and corrupt man still in his post. He was ordered out a little while ago.
