KESC cuts electricity supply to 11 CDGK offices
Electricity supply to offices located at Civic Centre cut due to outstanding dues of Rs1.3b.
The Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) on Tuesday disconnected electricity supply to 11 offices of the City District Government Karachi (CDGK) located at Civic Centre, Express News reported.
The departments, according to a statement issued by the KESC, owed Rs 1.3 billion in dues.
Topping the list is the Head Office of Karachi Development Authority (KDA), owing Rs63 million, while other departments/offices include Landhi and North Karachi slaughter house, sports complex, Ghareebabad Underpass, Karachi Municipality Corporation (KMC)’s head office, Dalmia pipe factory, Yousuf Goth bus terminal and others.
The electricity company had earlier issued notices to the offices.
