Food Challenges: GCUF conference to start from Dec 11

Scientists from Malaysia, US and France to present research papers before delegates from institutions, food industry.

The Government College University Faisalabad (GCUF) will organise a two-day International Food Conference and Food and Nutrition Expo from December 11 to devise a roadmap to combat challenges facing the food industry.

The conference will be arranged on the directives of GCUF VC Dr Zakir Hussain.


Scientists from Malaysia, United States and France will present their research papers before 1,000 delegates belonging to educational institutions and the food industry. Department of Food Sciences in charge Dr Umair Arshad Bajwa said preparations for the events were in full swing. The conference would help give solutions to the challenges confronting the food industry, he said. He said 100 stalls would be set up at the expo.
